Igniting The Reading Fire

 IGNITING THE READING FIRE FOR NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT” is a program on STAR FM 91.5, Ibadan.

  • This program is organized by Reading Awareness Society for Development in Africa (RASDA).
  • The host of the program is Mrs. Bukola Ladoja, the President and founder of Reading Awareness Society for Development in Africa, RASDA, the Ambassador of Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) and the Executive Producer of Read to Lead Africa Reality TV show.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

To bring together a community of stakeholders in education to collectively see how everyone can contribute to increase the rate of reading culture in our nation for national development knowing fully-well that a reading nation is a leading nation.

VISION

To raise a new generation of leaders through sustainable promotion of reading culture.

MISSION STATEMENT

To awaken the passion and love for reading in every individual in Nigeria, among the young and old, male and female through rigorous advocacies and campaigns.

OBJECTIVES

  • To bring together the literary community vis- a- vis readers, authors, booksellers, publishers and so on.
  • To sensitize the stakeholders in the education sector to be alive to their responsibilities so as to entrench reading as a culture in Nigeria and each stakeholder playing their roles adequately.

These stakeholders include parents, guardians, teachers, students, school owners, government at all levels and civil society organizations involved in education.
